POINTS SYSTEM
Endurance
Points will be directly transferable from EGB, with the addition of points for completion of pleasure rides at 0.5 pts/km, minimum distance 20 km.
Show Jumping
Points for BSJA-affiliated competition to be awarded by taking the value of “Notional Prize Money” and multiplying by 6. All horses completing a round without being placed or eliminated will be awarded points equivalent to the value of the “Notional Prize Money” for 1st place.
For actual amounts, see BSJA Rule Book p51 onwards.
Example: Newcomers “Notional Prize Money” £25, £20, £15, £12, £10, £8 if double clear. Points: 150 for 1st, 120 2nd, 90 3rd etc. 48 double clear, 25 completion of round.
All unaffiliated competitions over a height 1.0m to be awarded:
75 1st, 60 2nd, 50 3rd, 40 4th, 30 5th, 20 6th, 10 completion.
Lower heights as newly introduced disciplines – i.e. 1st 30, 2nd 25, 3rd 20, 4th 15 Completion 10
Dressage
Affiliated competition attracts points as follows, with points for completion applying to test without elimination or placing. Unaffiliated to score as Preliminary regardless of the test:

We feel that training is as valuable as the end result of competition, so we are giving points as people step up the ladder to their chosen discipline. We are adding to the points to broaden the scope. They are being up dated for all levels of disciplines, for example: in SJ from clear round to the Olympics!! Do send what ever you have done, and let us know if you would like anything to be added – we want to be as inclusive as possible. If you give an explanation we will work out the points for you.
